You will of course need more than one day in Jostedalen. And that is quite convinient if you travel by bus. Your ticket is valid even if you decide to stay over for a day or two. So do like many happy travellers: Explore the Jostedalen valley. and there is a lot to explore. Have a look here.

Jostedal hotell: very central in Gjerde, close to the glaciers. A good family hotel, cosy atmosphere, the perfectplace to stay for your Jostedale exploration. 21 rooms with 42 beds, dining rooms, lounges and restaurant.

Jostedal Camping close to the hotel, 10 huts, some new and of high standard.

Nigardsbnbreen Camping, close to the glacier and only 500 m to the Breheimsenteret. 10 huts.

Nigardsbreen Guesthouse, close to the Breheimsenteret and with direct view to the Nigardsbreen glacier. Renovated in the original 50's style in the winter of 2009.
